Special Take-Off Adapter

#6039 Pinion Brackets - Straight drive arrangement used where end of take-off shaft is available. The unit is coupled to machine shaft directly using universal, solid or flexible coupling means. For high speed applications or when thrust loads are applied to shaft, specify #2139 Ball Bearing Pinion Bracket (not illus.).

#1580 End of Shaft Connector - For direct connection to projecting shafts up to 1 " diameter and for speeds of 700 RPM to 3000 RPM at full scale instrument reading. A flexible shaft connects the unit to the tachometer. No additional mounting brackets are needed. Specify take-off shaft diameter. Also available for shafts larger than 1 ". Price on application.

#1462 End of Shaft Right - Angle Drive-Used where a shaft is a convenient take-off point. A slotted screw (furnished by customer) is inserted into end of take-off shaft and drives the unit. This adapter is furnished with an adjustable mounting bracket.

Standard = 1462 ratios are 0.33, 0.5, 1.0 and 2.0. When 4.0 ratio is needed, specify #2416 (not illus.).

#6034 Extended Shaft Right - Angle Drive-Similar to the 1462 except drive end of the unit has an extended plain end shaft. Connected to take-off shaft by same means as #6039 Pinion Brackets.

Special shaft lengths available on application.

Standard #6034 ratios are 0.33, 0.5, 1.0, and 2.0. When 4.0 ratio is needed, specify #4811 (not illus.).

Right-Angle Adapters

#4704 - To avoid a sharp bend in flexible shafts. Also for changing speeds or reversing rotation. Used in a wide variety of applications including diesel engines, off-highway equipment, tractor front wheel drives, and general industrial tach installations. Single output (Series 4700) has standard ratio of 0.25, 0.33, 0.5, 1.0, 2.0).

Straight Adapters

#2847 - For tach end of flexible shaft. Standard ratios: 0.25, 0.5, 1.0, 2.0, 4.0. Used primarily in applications where a speed increase cannot be made at the drive end or when additional speed has to be supplied to the tachometer in low speed applications. Reverses direction of rotation.

Standard Flexible Shafts
