S
Meet Type IC/BFB requirements of Military Specification
MIL-T-16049. Cases are watertight bronze and are built
to withstand severe shock and vibration. Widely used for
marine and industrial applications. Dials are 6"
in diameter with an effective scale length of 17".
Furnished with unbreakable Lexan® lens. Industrial version
is chrome-plated. Other finishes to order. Series
S6 has no counter.
Series
S7 is similar to the S6, but is furnished with a counter
which adds regardless of direction of shaft rotation.
Other
models available with add-subtract counters and semaphore
indicating "ahead" and ''astern."
Series
MS14 and MS15
Designed to meet U.S. Navy requirements, these four
inch units also find wide use in general industry. They
are built to the same high standards as the S type units.
Bronze case is black and bezel is chrome. Other finishes
to order. MS15 has no counter. MS14 (shown) includes
counter which adds regardless of direction of shaft
rotation. |
Surface
Speed Indicators
(Totalizing Counters Available)
Series 2169 features a 4" diameter dial with 360° easy-toread
scale. The Jones Surface Speed Indicator rides any moving
surface.
The
indicator operates through a friction contact wheel drive.
The
mounting bracket can be easily installed on almost any machine.
Options
include totalizing counters. Viton® wheels for high temperature
(170°-350°F) applications, flexible shafts for remote instrument
mounting, static hands, and instruments with 6" or special
dials.

 Kits
include tachometer head, split drive gear (disassembles to
mount on machine take-off shaft), pinion gear bracket assembly,
and flexible shaft.
Type
RS Kit (Instrument Model 5205) has a 6" diameter dial
with 17" long scale.

T Kit (Instrument Model 5213) has a 4" diameter dial
with 12" long scale.
